A Week With Hylo : Denver to Columbus
Named for an old-time country musician, Hylo is our 10-week-old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy.
He’s either a Mexican jumping bean, hopping and running and falling and putting everything he can fit in his mouth or he’s completely wiped out, letting his entire body succumb to gravity. I know from experience just how fast puppies grow, and indeed he is literally growing as I watch. In an effort not to let his puppyhood slip by undocumented I spent the first week with the camera handy, beginning when I picked him up during a blizzard in Denver. Hylo has been busy: riding on planes, brewing beer named for him (Rhodesian Red might catch), the meeting and getting to know of his canine sisters, Roux and Prada, a first visit to the cabin, and a lot of shmoozing, sleeping and general puppy antics.

This image was taken the first weekend Hylo was home:
And this one taken this week, just about 10 days later. I told you; he grows while I watch.
{Hylo is a Sunkissed pup. We are so thankful to Nancy, Lynn and Michelle!}
