They hadn’t gone ring shopping, she wasn’t expecting a proposal at every turn (or any turn, for that matter). Add to that the fact that he pulled the whole thing off on a secluded beach in the Caribbean. It was stunningly beautiful, and Claudia was completely swept away.

We thought we would have to drive up into the high elevations to find snow on command like that, but instead, on the day we had written in our calendars there was a blizzard. It snowed and snowed and snowed, and it transformed Wash Park into a winter wonderland.
