There were thunderstorms, sweltering heat waves, perfect summer mountain breezes, and blizzards. I photographed lovely people in snowy mountain towns, Caribbean beaches, Kentucky horse farms, rutted dirt roads in the African countryside, Rustbelt cities, National forests, great historic mansions, the shores of the Great Lakes, art galleries and art museums, the Big Apple, the plains of the great Masai Mara, cowboy towns and Midwestern dairy farms.
Ashley and Aaron had the most divine rainy wedding day. The skies were miserable and gray, except for every defining moment of the day, when perfect light parted the clouds. It happened during the first look, the portraits, during the post-ceremony rose petal toss — Ohio weather at it’s finest.
Mindy and Cameron are crazy talented photographers themselves, and I’m guessing that had something to do with the fact that they were able to appreciate the magical secret garden quality of the abandoned greenhouse enough to brave the ticks and the broken glass and the poison ivy.
