Call it what you will — some would call it fate — that brought Meron’s family from Ethiopia, and Dario’s family from Croatia to Denver so that they would find each other in a crowded bar late at night.
I met Meron + Dario at a nearly-defunct amusement park on the edge of town in what turned out to be a perfectly wonderful place to shoot.
